Commissioner's Leadership Programme (CLP) for Portfolio Leaders
Overview
The focus of this five-day programme is to develop leadership capability through a greater understanding of values based leadership, leading large teams, strategic perspective and influencing skills. Collectively these core components allow the delegate to establish the best opportunities to improve individual and team performance.
This programme provides delegates with a range of pertinent learning opportunities congruent with their role.
Delegates will receive presentations from internal and external keynote speakers, take part in group activities and form small learning groups supported by a facilitator.
Opportunites will exist for delegates to reflect on their current level of leadership skills and to plan future activity to improve personal effectiveness.
Who is it for?
This programme is for both Police Staff and Police Officers Band C, B, (including shadow bands), Chief Inspectors and Superintendent level.

Future development
Delegates who have attended this programme have access to regular ‘master classes’ arranged by the Leadership Academy. These events cover various areas of leadership development presented by experts in their field. Delegates wishing to build on their development further may also take advantage of optional one-day modules which are currently under development; Coaching skills, motivational presentation skills and managing workloads.
Duration and location
The five-day Portfolio Leaders Module is a non-residential programme delivered at various sites across London with each day commencing at 0900 and finishing at 1700.
