Open Programme - Performance Development
This module will enable delegates to appreciate their responsibilities in relation to the personal and professional development of their staff. The delegates will be familiarised with their responsibilities within the Personal Development Review process. They will explore their role in effectively managing unsatisfactory performance. The theme of values driven leadership will be applied throughout.
Who is it for?
This module is open to Sergeants, Inspectors, Band D’s, Band E’s with line management responsibilities and equivalent pay bands.

Reorganise how the MPS Values and Behaviours and Value Driven Leadership positively influence the development of our people.
Explore ranges of learning and development opportunities for their staff.
Appreciate their role within the Personal Development Review process as a means of developing their staff and monitoring performance in line with relevant role profiles, MPS and local priorities.
Recognise the advantages of identifying poor performance at an early stage, exploring a range of potential causes and solutions both sensitively and objectively.
Recognise the importance of open and honest record keeping.
